September is here already.
Posted Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 4:48 PM, CDT by Dawn | I hope everyone is doing well and had a good summer. The kids have returned to school. Nate is almost 2 months. I can’t believe it’s September already.
Though I am happy to have my big kids back in school, the end of summer means the beginning of school year activities.
I am helping out with Girl Scouts again. This time I am treasurer for the Junior troop. Alyssa and Ashlyn are both in GS this year. Alyssa’s troop leader is leaving in December so I have the feeling I will be doing more with the Jr. troop than I originally planned. I am doing MOPS again and the Chapel is starting AWANA. Since I have been bugging them about it for the last year, I was asked to help out with that. Along with the holidays and birthdays coming up, the ride begins.
Nate is so big now. He is smiling and sleeping better at night. He still requires a lot of my attention so my house is a mess and I feel lucky to get a shower regularly. I know that in a couple of months he will be able to entertain himself better when he is up and I will be able to get more done. He is just a joy.
Alyssa is a huge help. She is good with Ashlyn and Amiyah. Just now she went to get Amiyah from her nap. She holds Nate almost every evening for a few minutes while I make dinner.
Hank posted pictures. The kids are growing up. Alyssa is in 5th grade. Ashlyn is in 1st grade and Jordan is a sophomore.
Hank is back to shift work. He is no longer the boss, though he still does a lot of boss stuff. He likes shift work. I think it has pros and cons. We can get appointments done during the week more easily, but he has to work nights sometimes and those suck.
Well I have to go Nate is crying in his swing.
