We are in Washington
Posted Tuesday, September 3, 2002, 12:18 PM, CDT by Hank | So glad to be done traveling for a little while, this past week and a half has been hectic.
We got the last of our stuff packed up and moved into the hotel by the 23rd. Then I spent the last few days at Ghedi finishing up my out-processing from the base, and turning over the house and loner furniture over the to the new family moving in after us. I thought I was having severe allergy problems but it turned out to be cold. It made sense because Alyssa was sick and had a throat infection. (Perfect timing) We got her on some antibiotics and we all felt good enough to go to Venice on the 31st. We hadn't gone yet, so we went with some friends of ours and saw the canals and gondolas and stuff. The next morning we went to the airport and flew home. Dawn's Dad picked us up at Portland International and we stayed the night at his house because we super tired. Her Dad let us borrow his car, so we drove to my parent’s house and that's where we are now. We'll head back to her Dad's house about the 20-21st.
Now it's time to just RELAX.......
