We have a house!
Posted Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 2:35 PM, CDT by Hank | We moved from TLF into our new house on base last night. It only has 3 bedrooms, but we are grateful to have it. It's at the at the end of a huge cul-de-sac so there's not much traffic. The inside is nice and spacious and has all new carpet and tile and the back door looks out onto a bunch of trees and a jogging path. The kids LOVE it--even Jordan. Dawn and I also like it quite a bit but we have a little yard work to take care of.
Dawn's at home waiting for her new washer and dryer to be delivered from Sears. It's "canyon capacity" for our huge family. We've had to buy a bunch of stuff in the past couple of days. This has been an expensive move!
Jordan may still be able to get into high school. He's taking summer school classes in U.S. History and math to bring his average up to pass 8th grade. His first day was today and I think he's going to do just fine.
My van finally came in to Dallas yesterday. I'm flying up there tomorrow morning to pick it up and driving back.
Work is going fine. The job is pretty easy and I'm nearly done with my training. I'll certify in about a week.
Hmm...that's all I have for now. By the way, we are loving Sonic and Taco Cabanna. Good eats.  | |
