It's already Easter morning here But we'll still be celebrating it about the same time is everyone in the northwest since I have to work today. We usually do the whole Easter-Basket-in-the-morning thing, but today we'll just have to put it off till I get home. Today is also Aunt Artice's Birthday.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Yeah, sorry--I've been spread thin the past few weeks. There are a few more shots of the kids in the Photo Album. Is it just me, or does Ashlyn look a lot like Michealino when he was a baby? Check out the "Mike and Michelle's Family" section of the Photo Album and see what you think.

Happy Birthday Michealino

Ashlyn is 8 weeks old today. In the last 2 months she has had her first bath and first smile. She has stronger neck muscles and is able to hold her head pretty steady. She has started cooing. She is awake more and cries less. Her newborn clothes are getting too small. We took her to her 2-month well-baby appointment yesterday. She weighs 11lbs, 11oz and is 22 and 1/4in long. I am happy to say she is getting prettier every day. Her newborn acne is almost gone and her skin is no longer blotchy. Unfortunately her hair has not figured out what it is going to do. She was born with dark brown wavy hair. Her hair is thinning; I guess she is loosing her newborn hair as most babies do. My guess is that it will fall out and come back in blonde. She enjoys her bouncy seat and her baby gym. She loves to have her legs rubbed. She likes to be held in a standing position and is happiest when she is being talked to. Ashlyn is a joy to have around and I am looking forward to more of her milestones.

Alyssa is doing well. I ordered her preschool curriculum from Abeka books and plan to start her on that this month. She already knows how to count to ten. She also knows her colors and shapes. She catches on to new things quickly. She loves her baby sister and is very protective of her. She plays with her brother a lot and loves to play outdoors. Her favorite place is Sunday school. She likes being around other kids and seems to make friends everywhere she goes. Alyssa is in the middle of another ear infection. She is on 2 lower scale antibiotics. She is acting pretty well considering how she must feel.

Jordan is almost at the end of 3rd grade. He is a fare student and has improved a lot in spelling and math. He has been difficult to deal with the last few months but seems to be behaving better lately. He is a good big brother who gets Alyssa breakfast in the morning and plays with her outside quite often. He enjoys playing at the park with his friends and playing his GameBoy. Aside from cleaning his room daily he also has to clean his bathroom, take the trash and recycling and put his own laundry away. Though I have to remind him about his chores, he does an OK job.

We have been going off base more and trying new restaurants, so far no complaints.

We are going to the beach next month for a few days. We’ll let you all know how it was.
