Happy Thanksgiving! We are having a small dinner at home. We decided at the last minute to stay home. Luckily the Commissary had what we needed for a quick throw together meal. We will put our turkey breast in the rotisserie. This is the only way we do it now. It comes out so yummy.
We have surprising news. We are expecting baby #5 in July. I haven’t been to the Doctor yet. I am going in Dec. I am only about 5 weeks or so. Even though this wasn’t planned, we are happy. I was a little upset at first that was short lived. Hank makes me feel better when my brain starts to go into overload.
I am off to the kitchen. We love you all and hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day.

We went to the PTSO fall carnival this last weekend. The girls won 3 goldfish. So we have them in a fishbowl on the counter. We also got a new dog. A Shi-tzu that we named Ginger. She is a 1 year old female. She is a great dog. Hank says we should have gotten a Shitzu in the first place. We think she may be pregnant. The people we got her from said she wasn’t so we thought maybe she is just going into heat. We plan on spaying her ASAP. We NEVER leave our pets unsprayed or un-neutered. Well anyway she hasn’t started bleeding yet so we think she is in the family way. I will make her a vet appointment. We are keeping her even if she is expecting. She is too great of a dog to give up, well so far anyway. She does have a people food addiction. I guess her previous owners let her eat table food. We don’t but she will sneak it sometimes. She ate my Jumbo Jack cheese burger last night. I left it on the computer desk unattended for a few minutes. She got into trouble and a new nickname, the Hamburgeler.
We are thinking of turning most of our garage into a family room. It is a big unused space. We may get some large wardrobes from Ikea and use them as room dividers. I think we could put down office type carpet or even Astroturf. I am trying to talk Hank into painting the walls also. We shall see. This house doesn’t have enough living space. I have heard of others doing temporary rooms in the garage.
We are feeling better. We have moved on to a new cold. We have finished most of our Christmas shopping.
We tried a new Chinese restaurant a couple nights ago. It is called The Golden Wok. It got good reviews online. Well the people online were to kind. It wasn’t bad, it was just unimpressive. It tasted cheap and plain. We haven’t found any good Chinese food since moving to Texas though we haven’t looked all that much. We always have a good Chinese restaurant. The one in Guam was awesome.
Ashlyn says that she wants to be a singer and dancer and move to New York when she grows up. I told her that it didn’t surprise me. Ashlyn had the stomach flu at the beginning of the week. She was getting ready for school and she yells downstairs to me “MOM I PUKED IN MY BED!” She recovered within the day.
Alyssa her has first choir performance on December 2nd. The elementary choir is singing at the base Christmas tree lighting. She is excited. Well I am off to get lunch and do laundry. Love you a

We saw Boys 2 Men!

We went to see a Boys 2 Men concert here on Lackland for free yesterday. It was awesome!. They sounded just as they should. They were just as handsome as I remember. They even still had the moves. Hank and I had a really good time. Since the concert was outside, we sat on the edge of the crowd and let the girls run around.
I have been sick and I think I may be getting an ear infection. I think I will probably go to the doctor today. The kids have a 4 day weekend. We went to the zoo on Saturday. The zoo here is ok, but not as nice as the one in Portland. The kids all had a great time. The monkeys were my favorite. They didn’t have hippos or polar bears.
I made the girls play dough. All 3 of them are playing with it now. Amiyah is mostly playing with play dough tools. She isn’t sure about the dough yet. I sat with them for a while and showed her how to play with it but she just told me “NO!”
Hank is working an 8 hour day shift so he will be home in the late afternoon. Hopefully I will get an appointment. We also need to deposit our stimulus check. WOOHOO!
I really need to catch up on the laundry. We also need to start Christmas shopping.
Aunt Mary, I agree that you just need to ignore the mess. I have gotten better about it. I try to take care of the stinky stuff first. You know dishes, trash, and make sure all the dirty laundry is in the hamper. I had a friend tell me once that I will have a clean house when the kids are gone, but then you wish you could have the kids and the mess back.
I think we may go out to dinner tonight. We haven’t been to Golden Corral in a while. We did take the kids out to lunch on the River Walk after we went to the zoo. We went to Texas Land and Cattle. It is a steak house. Kids eat free on Saturday. We are quite the bargain hunters now days.
Well I am off to the races. I hope you all had a great weekend. Love you.

Happy Nov 4th.

We haven’t posted Halloween pictures because Hank is having issues with our website.
We are doing well over here. I have been a little depressed. For me that looks like lazy. I think it is because my house is too cluttered for me.
Aunt Mary, I am sorry to read that you are having so many health problems. How is your diabetes? I asked UE about his the other day. What are you doing physical therapy for? Is it helping?
I wanted to ask you if your house was always so tidy? I remember hearing that you would clean the bathroom and sit in it when the kids were small. I think you told me this many years ago. My house is nuts. I feel like I am swimming up stream. How did you manage the mess? I think my kids are lazy. I know that is my fault. I should have made them all do more.
Halloween went great the baby had such a good time. She loves her costume and likes to wear it around the house. She figured out how to open lollypops. I let the kids pig down their candy over the weekend. It is gone now and I don’t have to listen to them ask for it now.
The baby has had a fever for the last few days so she has been a real ball of fun. The kids and I are going in for dental cleanings tomorrow. The book fair is this week so I will go get some books for the girls for Christmas. We have a meeting with all of Jordan’s teachers in about a week and half. This will hopefully push him to try harder.
Happy Election Day to all. I know UE is on the edge of his seat. I spent this morning at the BX buying socks and underwear for the kids. I don’t know where they all go. Socks are a big mystery. Does the dryer really eat them? I know Jordan wears holes into his heals. Alyssa and Amiyah needed a bigger size? I will give Ashlyn all of Alyssa’s socks since they are getting small and still in good shape. We don’t do hand-me-down underpants. The girls seem to be a little gentler on their clothing than Jordan was.
