NCO of the Month Award Posted Monday, February 27, 2006, 2:14 AM, CST by Hank The Al Dhafra AB Wing Commander, Col Burke, just personnally awarded SrA Saffarini and me "Airman of the Month" and "NCO of the Month" (respectively). Additionally, our superintendent, SMSgt Howell from Yokota, got "Senior NCO of the Month". We each got an awards plaque with some sterling silver figurines framed in it. This is the first time anyone can remember that the Command Post swept monthly awards in all categories here at Al Dhafra. This has happened to me before at Kadena a few years ago when Capt Dunlap, SMSgt Foster, SrA Bellvin and I won quarterly awards in each category. Pretty cool.

I posted all the pictures I've taken...they are much smaller and easier to view than the huge zip files I e-mailed out a while back. Our Public Affairs (news guy) did a story on our job here for our base paper, The Sandscript. Click here to see it. The article was then re-posted on the Air Force website (www.af.mil).
