Well, at least SOMEONE's having a birthday

My brother-in-law Michael Severson and my cousin Jenny Hill's daughter Abby are celebrating birthdays today.

Dawn should be having ours any day now.

Back home; Baby not quite ready to come out yet...

It was definately labor and hurt like heck, but no results yet. She likes the term "unproductive labor". Made some progress, currently about 4 cm dialated and the baby is engaged. We are currently back home since she needs to be at least 6 cm dialated before they'll admit her over at Camp Lester Naval Hospital. Definately not a whole lot more time to wait. We'll let you know if things progress further.

Labor!

This might be it! We're off to the hospital. We'll start calling people if we have a baby. Dawn's having contractions and I'm on the computer--classic!

New (Old) Pics, More Genealogy

I've posted 400 new pictures to the Photo Album covering everything from our trip to Venice to our last visit home. You’ll notice I've added numbers to the category names for the pictures. The numbers don't mean much in themselves, they are just a tool to allow me to put the categories in chronological order. If any of you were using the "My Album" feature to store a list of your favorites, I may have accidentally erased your personalized lists by renaming the categories. (Sorry). Don't worry, I won't do that again. You can use the "My Album" feature without fear. I need to go through and delete a lot of them (doubles, bad shots, etc) but I'll probably hold off until I finish uploading some more pictures I have to upload.

I also went through and added the GEDCOM files from Louise McDowell Bush and Mary Steinmeyer to my existing Genealogy database. It shows 5,384 people in there now! There are a lot of duplicate people though and it closer to 4,700 unique individuals. I need to go through and update the whole thing. Since I imported all that data, it's not working 100% the way it should. Luckily I have backups of all the old files, and I'll get it running smoothly again as soon I get another decent amount of time. Feel free to poke around though, but don't be too surprised if you occasionally get odd arrangements of unrelated people.

Happy Birthday Christopher

We'd like to extend our condolences for the passing of my Grandpa Roth. Our hearts and prayers go out to Grandma Roth and everyone who knew and loved Ozzie. He was a good guy and he'll be missed.

"Maxi, take a picture of that!"

In case you didn't know...

Jordan "broke" his left arm on the 8th. He's currently in a full-arm cast and will be for three weeks, then will switch to a forearm cast for another three.

He fell off the slide at the park near our house and landed on it. Luckily, the bones (his radius and ulna near his wrist) weren't broken all the way through, kinda splintered/cracked like a green twig.

He's doing fine now though, not in any major pain. He's got quite a few signature from his friends on his cast too.

I hope he doesn't break anything else--too much waiting in the ER.

No, I didn't forget! (Completely...)

Mike Brozick just had his birthday yesterday, and Kianna Nygaard had hers on the 6th. Happy belated birthday!

2003....Sounds So--Futuristic.

I spent my New Years at work taking calls from drunk people needing rides from clubs and stuff. An interesting additional duty we have on night shifts at the command post here. All good, about 20 people who didn't drink and drive.

I hope you all had a safe and happy new year...I just got to watch the ball drop on the east coast and see the "2003" light up.

Anyone make resolutions? I've decided to make no resolutions this year. I've aready broken it--damn.

I'm really have a lot of hopes for 2003. I'd like to see it go by with no wars, more peace, and to have Layne Staley cloned and singing with Alice in Chains again.

Honestly, looks like this will be a pretty dymanic year, a rollercoaster of goods and bads, and the little guys pushing the boundries on what the normal people (you and me) thought were unbreakable.

Yes, it'll be an aweful lot like last year.
